Daily sudoku
One new sudoku every day, identical for every player in the world. Solve it, then compare times with friends who played the very same board.
How it works
One puzzle is published for every day, the same board for everyone, without any account. A new one opens at midnight, your local time. When you finish, you can submit your time and see how you compare with everyone else who played it: how many solved it, the median, and the share you were faster than.
How hard is it?
The daily is usually Medium, Tricky or Hard. Its difficulty band and rating are shown in the top bar, like for any other puzzle.
A fair race
The daily starts with automatic candidates off for everyone. Finish without anything from the Assist box, such as hints, checks or automatic candidates, and the result counts as an unassisted solve.
When you finish, Challenge a friend copies a message with your time and a link that carries the puzzle itself.
